Production and Delivery

Production Lead Time:
Due to the bespoke nature of our furniture, each piece is meticulously crafted upon order placement. Production time can take up to 6 weeks, varying depending on the specific item ordered. However, most orders are completed sooner. -
Delivery:
We'll notify you once your order is ready and arrange shipment. As we operate on a made-to-order model, delivery may occur up to 8 weeks from purchase, but most orders arrive much earlier.
Our delivery methods vary based on your order. We may expedite shipping by dispatching furniture directly from our suppliers at different times, reducing delivery time. This approach minimises packaging materials and decreases transport distances, supporting our environmental conservation efforts. Please note: If you're unavailable, unreachable, or haven't made appropriate arrangements for delivery on the agreed-upon date (which you'll confirm in advance), a redelivery fee of $150-$375 (pending state/area) AUD will apply for subsequent attempts. We'll notify you well before the scheduled delivery to coordinate and confirm a specific date and time slot. Should a redelivery be necessary, we'll reschedule at the earliest opportunity. However, it may take up to 2weeks to arrange the next delivery as our schedules are pre-planned in batches by region and organised several weeks in advance. Ensure you've accurately measured the space for your bespoke furniture, including doorways, hallways, lifts, or stairwells. If we can't complete delivery due to size issues or incorrect measurements, a redelivery fee of $150-$375 (pending state/area) will apply, plus any costs for resizing and/or refinishing the furniture to meet new specifications.

We currently ship within Australia. -
Shipping Charges:
We offer free shipping on all orders over $5000 AUD to metro NSW, VIC, SA QLD & ACT (excluding WA, Tasmania and external territories). Shipping charges may apply to smaller orders or locations outside mainland Australia. We have occasional shipping discounts during periodic sales. -
Failed Deliveries & Returned Packages:
If a delivery attempt fails, causing the package to return to us, re-shipping charges may apply. -
International Shipping:
We currently don't support international shipments but are working to expand our services globally. -
Damage During Transit:
If you receive a damaged order, please contact us immediately at hello@distinctive-interior.com.au. We'll investigate and guide you through the replacement or refund process if necessary.
